After a successful limited syndication run, Twentieth TV's "Ambush Makeover" is looking to go national.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reality show, which launched late in the summer, is hoping to get a national clearance push for the fall of 2004.

Bob Cook, president and chief operating officer of syndicator Twentieth TV, "Ambush Makeover" has been performing well among female demographics in its limited run on Fox owned & operated stations. Cook uses the demographic numbers and the success of similar makeover formats as evidence that the market is open for an expanded "Ambush."

Produced by Banyan Prods. in association with Twentieth TV, "Ambush Makeover" is a half-hour series featuring celebrated hair and makeup artists as well as personal stylists from Hollywood and New York. As is indicated by the show's title, the makeovers in question are often decidedly unexpected, taking people off the street and giving them "instant beauty."
